High School Symposium

This is a one day program dedicated to senior high school students. In here, they can acquire essential business skills and personal branding tips. The selected students will go to one of Google’s offices and meet the teams in there. If you want to be chosen to participate in this program, then you must meet some criteria – being a high school senior and demonstrating academic excellence, are a couple of them.

BOLD Immersion

BOLD stands for Building Opportunities for Leadership and Development. The selected students will spend one week to one of Google’s headquarters. All expenses are paid! Here, students have the possibility of testing their skills and collaborating on real business challenges. This program is only dedicated to those enrolled in a four-year BA/BS program.

AdCamp

This is a 3 day summer program. It is dedicated to juniors interested in advertising and marketing. All the expenses will be paid by Google. Here, students will meet with the company’s employees, will compete in case competitions and participate in social activities. Those who want to participate must be enrolled in a 4-year BA/BS program or be current undergraduate students.

Computer Science Summer Institute

This program is also known as CSSI. Is lasts for 3 weeks and it is dedicated to future college freshmen who are interested in computer science. Participants will learn programming fundamentals directly from Google engineers. Then, they will be able to design and develop their own application! This year registering is available until March 5th.

Student Ambassador

Ambassadors are students who get to go to Google and learn amazing things. Here, they will learn about Google products and programs, plan and host fun events on campus, and act as a campus contact for Google teams. Furthermore, they will teach Google about the culture of their universities. Those who want to apply must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate/postgraduate study, be familiar with Google products and be involved with student organizations and activities.

Computer Science for High School

CSHS is an annual grant program dedicated to teachers. It supports colleges, universities and non-profit organizations, by providing professional development opportunities for school teachers. The applicants must submit a plan for an educational workshop. This one must: have a clear focus on the College Board’s new AP Computer Science Principles curriculum, and be followed up with a plan for year-round communities of practice work. The selected workshops may receive support of up to $35,000 each!

Computer Science First

CS First is a free program dedicated to children aged 9 to 14. Its aim is to increase student access and exposure to computer science education. These programs are run by volunteers. All the necessary materials for hosting this club will be provided by Google for free. The coding is made using Scratch.

Summer of Code

This is a global online program dedicated to student developers with ages over 18. Here, they can write code for various open source software projects. These projects will be founded for three months.

Code Jam

This is actually a programming competition. It consists in intense algorithmic puzzles held over multiple online rounds. The last edition outreached 50,000 registrants. Anyone with internet access and a valid e-mail address can participate. Until a new contest begins, people can practice online.

Policy Fellowship

This program is dedicated to undergraduate, graduate, and law students interested in Internet and technology policy. The selected ones will have the opportunity to work at public interest organizations on the following topics: broadband and access policy, content regulation, copyright and creativity, consumer privacy, open government, government surveillance, data security, data innovation, free expression, etc. The elected students will receive USD 7,500 for 10-12 weeks.
